1.  Introduction:

MAISHA is a non-governmental services and human rights based organization, which was, establish in July 2008 by a group of young social activist  with a view to  bring a qualitative change in life and livelihood of the disadvantaged and deprived communities through direct and intensive participation of men, women, children, adolescents irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity, physical and mental disability. It is committed to work in the field of Health, Sanitation, Education, Good Governess, Anti-Corruption, Nutrition, Women Empowerment & Gender Issues, Disables Rights Establishment and Sustainable Environment. Most of the non-government organizations are working for material development by focusing on such areas micro-credit and savings. MAISHA is not involve with Micro-credit and has started its activities from a new perspective. It has realized that empowerment is the precondition to fulfill human desire and potential, which is based on a recognition and faith in people’s own power and resources. MAISHA believes that the empowerment of deprived people would be achievable through group formation, individual capacity building, knowledge development, confidence building  and effective participation in advocacy process.
