About MAISHA

MAISHA is the Movement of Aid-Initiator through Services & Human rights    Activities. It is a right based organization. It has been started journey since 11 July 2008 in coastal part of Chittagong City Corporation. From the beginning of journey MAISHA is committed to serve people and by the people. People’s participation is our inspiration from the inception. We are proud to implement number of project in Good Governess, Citizen Charter, Health rights, youth empowerment, person with disabilities, RTI’s and so on.

Most of the non-government organizations are working for material development by focusing on such areas micro-credit and savings. MAISHA is not involve with Micro-credit and has started its activities from a new perspective. It has realized that empowerment is the precondition to fulfill human desire and potential, which is based on a recognition and faith in people’s own power and resources. MAISHA believes that the empowerment of deprived people would be achievable through group formation, individual capacity building, knowledge development, confidence building  and effective participation in advocacy process.

Mission of MAISHA

To bring a qualitative change in life and livelihood of the disadvantaged and deprived communities through direct and intensive participation of men, women, children, adolescents irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity, physical and mental disability.

Vision of MAISHA

People live and work in a harmonious society with honor and dignity. MAISHA is not involve with Micro-credit and has started its activities from a new perspective. Deprived people enjoy a better livelihood and have involvement in improving their lives.
